BOSS Events
What is BOSS? BOSS is the name of our youth group. It stands for “Because Our Savior Sacrificed.” We affectionately refer to our Junior High Youth (6th-8th) grade as BOSSlings. High School (9th-12th) is referred to simply as BOSS.
BOSS SCHEDULE:
“Normal” stuff: As “normal” as we do anything, here’s the schedule:
• BOSS Night: Every Sunday night (7-9) until Jesus returns.
• BOSSling Night: Every Sunday night (5-6:45) until Jesus returns.
Sunday Mornings: Every Sunday morning both of our youth groups meet for Bible study. High school meets in Pastor Mike’s office (down the hallway to the right of the church lobby). Junior High meets in the butterfly room (last room on the left, all the way down the Sunday School Hallway).
“FUN” stuff
Here's is what fun stuff we have planned for the next month or so:
Extra Curricular Schedules: Before Christmas I was able to get to several of your events ranging from sporting events to choir/band performances. Send Pastor Dave your schedule so he can keep watching you guys in action.
Wee Care Fiesta When? March 2nd. What? Wee care needs your help hosting this event. They need you to serve and wait on tables. This is a fundraiser for our group to participate in. Why? Because we want to help Wee Care raise funds for their ministry and we need to raise funds for our own future trips.
BOSSling Boomers When? March 28. What? Laser tag, pizza, go karts, mini golf and video games. Not to mention a lot of friends. Why? Just because we want to have some fun and because we are on break. Cost? $20. BRING A FRIEND.
30 Hour Famine: When? April 20th - 21st. What? Lock-In. 30 hours with no food. Games, worship, fun. Changing the world (one child at a time) Why? Because we want our faith to have a global impact. INVITE A FRIEND TO HELP YOU RAISE DOLLARS AND JOIN THE LOCK-IN.
BOSS Activity We are on break, so it seems like fun to do something together. Not sure what yet, but we will do something together. Any suggestions?
Fundraising: We’ve got a relatively low cost District Youth Gathering to raise funds for. AND a relatively high cost National Youth Gathering in 2013. We would like to get started with fundraising early. Have any ideas of what we could do?? Stay tuned for a few opportunities to help support the youth groups January – June.
